Had a great time this week at the National Convention Centre quick draw capturing theMHS Conference! Lots of great themes and interaction amongst the international community sector as we all came together to discuss important issues concerning mental health. I was very fortunate to be there to capture the occasion over 3 days as well as being part of a panel and presenting my community service to a wider community. Pics from the conference will be posted on site soon!
The National Museum of Australia will be holding a NAIDOC event on Sunday 5th July including lots of great live music and exhibitions which Funnyworks Oz will be a part of. I'll be quick drawing people's opinions and interpretations regarding defining moments in Australian history and their own defining moments in life - this will be drawn on a large art board and become a permanent piece in the museum! Really looking forward to the experience and hope to see you there!
I attended a gathering at Belconnen Arts Centre last week and had the opportunity to do some caricaturing of some bold folk attending as well as some staff. Had a blast meeting everyone and capturing them in a humorous fashion! My regular students had the night off and watched me perform under the pump - lots of fun and thanks for the great feedback :) Funnyworks Oz will be attending a number of other upcoming events and conferences and will keep you posted!
Funnyworks Oz attended the 2015 Control and Choice expo yesterday and had a great day meeting many wonderful services and people. I think people just liked being drawn, but most happily surprised to receive it :) Thanks to all involved and looking forward to attending the next one!

Funnyworks Oz participated at the ADFA Family Day Expo on Saturday 14th March and it was a very friendly and interactive event where I had my head down for the whole 3 hours or so caricaturing. Lots of kids were drawn as well as the odd adult or so - lots of fun and I certainly earned my money with a lineup waiting very patiently for me to capture them in an amusing fashion!
