2011 NRL Grand Final – Sea Eagles Still Soaring

The Manly Sea-Eagles are flying high once more, claiming the 2011 NRL premiership with a strong 24-10 win over the New Zealand Warriors in the Grand Final. The title is Manly’s second in four years and their eighth since 1972, while for the Warriors it is their second Grand Final loss in as many attempts, but this unlikely run to the big game was truly special. After finishing in 6th place and suffering a finals week 1 thumping to 3rd place Brisbane, the Warriors then squeezed by the Tigers 22-20 in their elimination semi final, before springing the upset of the season in downing the Storm 20-12 in a thrilling Preliminary Final in Melbourne.
