A lot has happened since my last post so here goes…
Funnyworks Oz has expanded into tutoring NDIS funded families and individuals so a lot more clients now being tutored weekly and fortnightly which is fantastic. Supporting individuals with cartooning and art therapy based sessions – not an art therapist but specialising in lots of lifeskill and goal setting themes as well as communication and emotion sessions that are also a lot of fun!
Trainworks at Thirlmere invited Funnyworks Oz to be part of their Big Draw event 8th and 9th October weekend where I drew trains and carriages of the museum onto 10m of paper and caricaturing people into the art piece. Full on quick draw approach which was great fun and you’ll see images on my website of the event soon!
Also v humbled to receive the Mental Health Reciprocity Award as part of MH week – a big thanks to Jewel and all those involved with my endorsement in an area with so many wonderful providers, it was certainly a great surprise and still have a smile on the dial 🙂

Posts will be more regularly updated this year as Funnyworks Oz will hopefully be involved in lots of new and exciting ventures.
Funnyworks Oz will be presenting at the Complex Needs Conference at the Rex Hotel Canberra Tuesday 17th November. The conference will have organisations from around the country attending and I feel very fortunate to have my 15 minute window of opportunity to describe services Funnyworks Oz provides to the community sector.

Looking forward to it and hope to see lots of service providers there!
