This week's Victor the Viking cartoon highlights both grades in the 2012 Grand Final. The Storm and Doggies face each other in the big one and the Mighty Raiders face the Tigers in the Toyota Cup grand final.
Victor's the happiest he's been in years as the Mighty Raiders head into the second week of the semis after slicing through the sharks. Now they face those Wabbits in Sydney...
Victor's crowing this week as the Raiders have pulled off a minor miracle by placing themselves well into the finals race after a great win in the cold against the Doggies! If they win the final round then they could be hosting a home semi final..........who would've thought that a few weeks ago!
The Raiders are chasing finals footy and they did the job on their rival Sydney Roosters, winning 24-20 in Canberra. Victor likes his bird well done, and this chook was well and truly cooked by full time.
The Raiders swamped the Panthers in the second half to pull off a successful raid on the mighty west and get away with a 20-10 victory. With a finals spot still up for grabs Victor sure wasn't hanging around, hopping back in his custom ride at full time and racing back down the highway to prepare for next week's game.
Victor is riding tall in the saddle after the Raiders beat their rival Broncos in front of a home crowd 28-12, squaring the ledger after their 30-6 loss earlier in the season. The win has Victor still confident the boys in green can pull it out and make the finals, while for other teams the prospect of a season lost is becoming a little too real...
The Raiders came back to earth with a thud in round 21, with a forgettable 36-6 defeat to the Newcastle Knights. Has the premiership light gone out for the Raiders, or is an unlikely finals appearance still on the cards...?
