On Wednesday I will also be co presenting with Julia Bocking from ACT Mental Health on the “Drawing Forward” goal setting alternatives to smoking program, which will be another great opportunity of exposure.

Looking forward to it and hope to see lots of service providers there!

Had a great time this week at the National Convention Centre quick draw capturing theMHS Conference!  Lots of great themes and interaction amongst the international community sector as we all came together to discuss important issues concerning mental health.  I was very fortunate to be there to capture the occasion over 3 days as well as being part of a panel and presenting my community service to a wider community.  Pics from the conference will be posted on site soon!

NAIDOC Week Event At the Museum

The National Museum of Australia will be holding a NAIDOC event on Sunday 5th July including lots of great live music and exhibitions which Funnyworks Oz will be a part of.

I’ll be quick drawing people’s opinions and interpretations regarding defining moments in Australian history and their own defining moments in life – this will be drawn on a large art board and become a permanent piece in the museum!

Really looking forward to the experience and hope to see you there!

Belconnen Arts Centre

I attended a gathering at Belconnen Arts Centre last week and had the opportunity to do some caricaturing of some bold folk attending as well as some staff.   Had a blast meeting everyone and capturing them in a humorous fashion!  My regular students had the night off and watched me perform under the pump – lots of fun and thanks for the great feedback 🙂  Funnyworks Oz will be attending a number of other upcoming events and conferences and will keep you posted!

2015 Control & Choice Expo

Funnyworks Oz attended the 2015 Control and Choice expo yesterday and had a great day meeting many wonderful services and people.  Head down all day caricaturing people, networking and forming contacts – even won the best exhibition award!  I think people just liked being drawn, but most happily surprised to receive it 🙂

Thanks to all involved and looking forward to attending the next one!
