I’ll be facilitating some fun cartooning workshops during the school holidays at Museum Of Australian Democracy (MOAD) over 2 weeks in January (7th – 14th & 17th – 21st ). It’s part of the ‘Behind the Lines’ exhibition where kids will learn how to draw some of our most well known politicians – can’t wait! I’ll also be at the National Museum of Australia for 2 workshops where we bring some of the new exhibition to life – should also be a lot of fun!
A quick blog to share that I’ve recently been involved in facilitating some workshops and art exhibitions around Canberra the past couple of weeks. I’ve been fortunate enough to provide programs with the Canberra Hospital Mental Health Unit (AMHU) for some time now, and I’ve been involved in their art exhibition as part of mental health week, which was a lot of fun. Also as part of mental health week I’ve facilitated a workshop for Connections community support service with a “Strengths to Goals” theme involving quick drawing and this was also great fun for a couple of hours. An “Environmental Superhero” cartoon workshop for kids at National Botanic Gardens competed a great week! I’ll become more frequent in sharing upcoming workshop info, now that I’m getting more programs up and running.
Also, keep an eye out for my Victor the Viking cartoon in the next few weeks!
This week’s Victor the Viking cartoon highlights both grades in the 2012 Grand Final. The Storm and Doggies face each other in the big one and the Mighty Raiders face the Tigers in the Toyota Cup grand final. Visit the Raiders site by clicking on the link below and see what this week’s Victor cartoon has to say!
Victor’s the happiest he’s been in years as the Mighty Raiders head into the second week of the semis after slicing through the sharks. Now they face those Wabbits in Sydney…………….have a look at this week’s cartoon by clicking on the Raiders link below!
I’ll be facilitating some fun cartoon workshops in the October school holidays for the National Botanic Gardens over the two week period. The first session on Thursday 4th involves animating some plants in the Canberra region and also including the animals that rely upon them as a food source. Plants will actually come to life through cartooning! The second week’s session on Thursday 11th is an exciting and imaginative theme involving creating your own environmental super hero! Come along to both sessions and be entertained as well as educated in fun and interactive cartooning workshops!
Victor’s crowing this week as the Raiders have pulled off a minor miracle by placing themselves well into the finals race after a great win in the cold against the Doggies! If they win the final round then they could be hosting a home semi final……….who would’ve thought that a few weeks ago! To view this week’s Victor the Viking cartoon, just click on the link below
Even on a bye weekend away from it all, Victor still manages to confront all his foes. Check out this week’s Victor cartoon on the Raiders website by clicking the link below, as Victor prepares for those Cows up north…
The Raiders have the bye this weekend, but Victor’s home schedule is still busy! Check out a more domesticated Victor the Viking cartoon this week – just click on the Raiders link below!
Victor’s having a rest during the bye week and ANZAC break, but will be back next week against those Sharks. In the meantime Victor’s allowed a replacement cartoon which you can view on the Raiders site – just click on the link below!
After a tough first round loss in ark weather against the Storm at home, the Raiders are bracing themselves for 3 weeks on the road – starting against the Titans on Saturday night. Visit the Raiders site to see what Victor thinks at this early stage of the season! Just click on the link below.
